Tips for Photo Day

Hair

  • Please understand that we do outdoor portrait sessions with your children. This means that on windy days please take into consideration that it may effect hair.

  • The Staff at iClick Smiles will not adjust your child’s hair, except to ask them to remove it from their face. If you have a specific hairstyle that you want please let the teacher know in advance or send a note on picture day.

  • If your child is wearing a hat we will ask them if they want it on or off for the photos. We will also try to take photos with it on and off if they do not know. Again please send a note to the teacher on photo day if you have a preference.

  • Please remember that special hairstyles are difficult to maintain throughout the day and may not look the same prior to their photo being taken.

Clothing

  • Choose clothing that compliments your student.

  • Please avoid neon colors, graphics, and/or logos across the front of a shirt as they don’t photograph well.

  • Please be careful with spaghetti straps and tube tops – they may crop out with certain photo crops, rendering an undesirable look.

  • Please be careful with Under Amour and Sports wear – the material it is made out of causes a moire pattern that can not be removed.

Glasses

  • We will ask your child if they want the photo with the glasses on or off. Please let your child or your child’s teacher know your preference. We may ask your child to do some with them on and some with them off if they are up for it or say, “I don’t know.”

  • Some students may choose to take their glasses off or keep them on for the entire duration of their session.

  • If your child has transitional lenses please know that we are doing photos outside and the lenses will turn dark. We may ask the student to remove them while in line so that they have a chance to transition before we take the photo.

FAQs

Communication

  • All communication is done via email. Please check you junk mail as it does get put there as well from time to time.

How do I order

  • In the communication emails there will be a link to your students personal gallery. Should you not find your email order link please click HELP at the top of the page.

When will the images be available for viewing?

  • An email will be sent out 7-10 BUSINESS days after the photo day with a link to your students gallery.

Why Can’t I get a digital of the Class Photo?

  • Since these are photos of Minors, we would need a signed Parental release of all Students in the photo giving us consent to sell the images digitally. Should one parent not want their student to be included we would not be allowed to sell it digitally. In order to service the majority of clients we only offer the class photos in prints.

How big are my digital files?

  • Be aware that we do magic and images downloaded will have a smaller file size. Please open the images to see the full resolution size. All images go through processing and therefore Raw images will never be provided. All of our images are guaranteed to reproduce prints up to 11x14 inches. Should you need a print larger than 11x14 please reach out to us.

What is the Return/Exchange Policy?

  • Please click HELP at the top and fill out the brief form so we know who your student is, what school they attend, and how we can help.

  • Yes. Please have both gallery link emails available. Go into first child’s gallery and add items to cart. Then click the blue CHANGE GALLERY link at the top of the gallery page. Once there enter all numbers after the letter S (last ten digits) in your second child’s gallery link provided by us via email.

Can I Place one order for multiple Children?

Can I get photos from previous school years?

  • Yes! Please use the help link above to get us information about the student. Please note there will be a $20 archival recovery fee to pull photos from previous years.

  • Your student gets a free high five on photo day and you should be well prepared for photo day!
